okay YES someone else who headcanon's Percy as Jordanian??? Where have you BEEN? Thank you for putting it into words, cause yes. It's been my headcanon since i red the first book (or ecuadorian, but thats cause of a friend who i visited there and yes i project onto fictional characters) but I LOVE IT. I can just picture him yelling 'yallah' super loud on the HOO quest and everyone else being like... what? while annabeth sighs and yells it as well. just PERFECTION.

i have been hiding on other social media outlets 😏 but honestly i thought that when i was literally like 10 and reading for the first time and self inserting, but now that i am older and much more closer to my jordanian culture i can SEE IT so well? like he radiates jordanian boy energy idk ??? i can see him literally having the worst arabic cuss words in his back pocket and eventually annabeth just learns them as well because

2 - she's just. so used to percy saying them. that it sticks with her

i actually really like it !! i think chris mccarrell is very talented and i want kristin stokes to marry me. i saw it twice, once off-broadway and once on broadway. i am also obligated to support anything george salazar does because we are both ecuadorian and i like to see ecuador excellence succeed 🇪🇨✨

my personal hc is that percy is afro-latino (maybe ecuadorian) and that bc gods don’t have dna so is sally

genuine question, when you guys say percy of color, do any of you have any specifics? like if you think percy should be latino: like, brazilian, argentinian, haitian??? all different. same with my asian percy friends what are the thoughts here too... what are you all visualizing with the much too broad category of "asian"? is he from the phillipines, singapore, india? and even then you can get more specific too!!! and black percy can be elaborated: there's a big difference from him being african american or if he's caribbean or like from a specific country in africa. so how do u see it?

and then how does sally work? is she an immigrant herself or has her family been in the us for a while? is she indigenous? is sally mixed? how did poseidon appear to her— was it the classic greek look or maybe something else? thoughts on percy's connection to his culture?

... or maybe none of it is specific? who is the percy in y'all's head? very interested in hearing the thoughts that are being thought 🧐
